Wage Slave
Happy April fool's day! If only I could pull of some great pranks I would've done it, but unfortunately I suck at it and can't be a good April fools prankster. It would've been best if I was able to post this yesterday as it was the first of thirty days of April. So many things has begun the moment this month came in, first summer, warmer breeze and hotter days are to be expected. Second, "intern season" for an incoming fourth year fashion design student. Honestly, I am in so much disbelief that I am about to start my internship this Monday, it's just that I never saw how time came by so fast and I am in my last year in college. If metaphor was to say it, time dashes around the oval ceaselessly. There's no stopping it and all you have to do is catch up and revel. As nervous as I am, I feel so much excitement as well, although it's not syncing in I can feel reality kicking in. This is the real deal, the industry I will be soon working on myself and it feels a lot like The Maze Runner (yes I have just watched it recently, thus the reference) wherein I have to know each path and each turns in order for me to get where to I am supposed to go. I know it sounds cheesy but I couldn't have explained it better or so I think or maybe I just feel like using it as a good reference. Anyway, it was yesterday when I had found the atelier I will have my internship in and, if it's not obvious, this was what I wore. Quite frankly I was expecting formal interviews and formal talks, but it was the exact opposite, thus the decision to not really dress it up. I decided to lay down layers and went for a white t-shirt instead and paired it with a black trousers, of which the hem I folded for a more flattering look. I just wanted to be really comfortable walking around the city. And speaking of walking around the city in comfort, these shoes might not be going at it but it sure is a patent-sight to see. Sometimes you just go beyond comfort because it just looks really good. To finish the whole look I decided to wear two chokers as my neck looked so bare and sometimes I just don't feel right without it or collars on my neck. Moreover, this might not be the perfect outfit for interviews as it sits on the casual side more but it can be when you feel like breaking the norm.

Deep Desires
Back to Blacks.
Starting this month with this look, and say hello to the coming "Ber" months. Anyway, this is where I always end up, all black outfit. Actually, this outfit was worn earlier of August, during an online magazine's launching party. The party sort of had a theme of "bad girls", didn't want to go too literal with the theme, so this is what I came up with. Something bad, but still something me, I don't think it looks bad though.
Considering what I mentioned earlier about the theme being "bad", I decided to bare my back with a top that has sheer fabric, it's the only way (that night) I could think of to be appropriate for a "bad gal" look, and overlaid the combo with this high-low chiffon top. I didn't want to wear the sleeveless top alone because I knew for sure the look would be boring (and I just couldn't go out sleeveless). The high-low top made this look more "me" and more restrained, despite the back baring it. It's just one of those "showing some skin but not showing too much" kind of look. What I really love about this, is that, black never fails to make me look good. It's simple but it's dressy, perfect for your "Friday nights" if you opt to overboard.

Hello! Finally over with the hiatus, I know I wasn't able to blog the past two weeks (or so) due to school affairs. But now, I sure am back. Yesterday, a school play has just closed its curtains, it's been a ride to say the least. One I would always be thankful for that I got to try. Putting make-ups on a bunch of choir members, quick changes here and there, it's chaotic backstage, but seeing how people would respond to the play, it's just one of those proud feeling because you're part of it. Now that it's over, there's a sudden miss of the chaos and all what's there backstage, I know I shouldn't be all too reminiscent about this (since it's not too long ago), but it's something I just can't get myself over with as for now. Well, it was an amazing experience and I would be really happy to do it again in the future, that's for sure.

Prepped
Never been so in love with looking preppy.
Layering can really help make a look, in this outfit I just overlaid the stripe top to a black top with peter pan collars and notice how this black peter pan collared top brought this stripe top to a whole different level.

I just love how young this look is, I mean I do look like a 12 year-old. This somehow reminds me of how kids used to dress up during the days. In fact, I felt like a kid myself in this outfit. The white socks and creepers combination helped create the 12-year-old-preppy look, and I'm just in love with it. It's not too hard to achieve if you have the right pieces, which I happen to have for this look.

I am just in love with this outfit's vibe, which by the way is the one preppy look in this blog that went with the way preppy should be. I don't know with you guys but it makes you look smart and cute (LOL! I don't know any other fitting word other than cute), I'm not really for looking cute but I'm kind of digging it with this outfit, haha.
