Wage Slave

Happy April fool's day! If only I could pull of some great pranks I would've done it, but unfortunately I suck at it and can't be a good April fools prankster. It would've been best if I was able to post this yesterday as it was the first of thirty days of April. So many things has begun the moment this month came in, first summer, warmer breeze and hotter days are to be expected. Second, "intern season" for an incoming fourth year fashion design student. Honestly, I am in so much disbelief that I am about to start my internship this Monday, it's just that I never saw how time came by so fast and I am in my last year in college. If metaphor was to say it, time dashes around the oval ceaselessly. There's no stopping it and all you have to do is catch up and revel. As nervous as I am, I feel so much excitement as well, although it's not syncing in I can feel reality kicking in. This is the real deal, the industry I will be soon working on myself and it feels a lot like The Maze Runner (yes I have just watched it recently, thus the reference) wherein I have to know each path and each turns in order for me to get where to I am supposed to go. I know it sounds cheesy but I couldn't have explained it better or so I think or maybe I just feel like using it as a good reference. Anyway, it was yesterday when I had found the atelier I will have my internship in and, if it's not obvious, this was what I wore. Quite frankly I was expecting formal interviews and formal talks, but it was the exact opposite, thus the decision to not really dress it up. I decided to lay down layers and went for a white t-shirt instead and paired it with a black trousers, of which the hem I folded for a more flattering look. I just wanted to be really comfortable walking around the city. And speaking of walking around the city in comfort, these shoes might not be going at it but it sure is a patent-sight to see. Sometimes you just go beyond comfort because it just looks really good. To finish the whole look I decided to wear two chokers as my neck looked so bare and sometimes I just don't feel right without it or collars on my neck. Moreover, this might not be the perfect outfit for interviews as it sits on the casual side more but it can be when you feel like breaking the norm.
