Channeling preppy with cutouts.
It's Christmas day and allow me to to share a look that might not sit well with Christmas sweaters, or Red and Green motif but something you can definitely wear for the holidays. It's not as festive as what you would expect since it's the yuletide feast but this outfit has long been overdue. Moreover, if you have been following this blog you would probably know I was once into looking all smart and preppy. It was an ego, I personally couldn't commit. But playing the part of a preppy through my clothes was fun, it had this different vibe that I enjoyed exuding so much. I had my own interpretation of a preppy, with more Blacks and interesting layering, that's how I tried to "prep" myself up.
With this outfit, I tried to play with the layers, was not all sure if these two would work but they somehow did and was extremely happy with how they both looked together. As what was mentioned earlier I was into looking preppy, it was nice to resurrect the style with this look on my blog. I had this DIYed button-up with cutout sleeves sitting in the corner of my closet, wanting to be used again, so I went for it and overlaid this top. It was a perfect combination since the top with sheer back is cropped and the button-up is lengthier, it made the look more preppy adding the collar. It's like a "Harvard Guy" only I'm not all covered. Anyway, I would just like to greet everybody a Merry Christmas, I've just celebrated mine with family and relatives and surely had a great time. Hope you enjoy yours as well. And by the way, expect more looks in the coming days as I am trying to post all the looks before this year ends. Happy Holidays (again)!
