Racing Ahead

Jersey shirt and Docs.

We are days away from the grandest festival in Cebu- the Sinulog, and I couldn't contain my excitement to braving the streets and shouting out "Viva Pit Senior!" to every person I pass through. Flag banners have been put up following the route of the Mardi Gras and musics have been on blast paving the way for a bigger celebration this Sunday. But more importantly masses have been held everyday to commemorate the child Jesus. Anyway, before I go all festive and manic for this Sunday's event, of which I'm hoping I can share an outfit, here's a look from last year before I ended 2014. This was when I had a (late) lunch out with some friends at a cafe with an ambiance you'd very much love to see. I know it's kind of late to do of some sorts a "year ender" post, but, you know what cliche statement follows.

Decided to go casual this day. Luckily for me, the weather somehow went along with my outfit (not really!), raining was definitely a good excuse that time to layer and wear Docs. This outfit was a backlash to the first idea I  had on how I was supposed to wear this. I planned on overlaying this jersey shirt with a white button-up, since it has a rather dressy appeal, I instead went for a short sleeved white button-up. I went for these boots for a more casual vibe and grunge appeal. Although, this outfit is not race ready or doesn't have anything to do with racing, I still love how good of a mix sporty and preppy can be. Attesting to the phrase my shirt has, "WE PLAY!", I think it's always nice to say "in fashion we play!". Just in love with the combination of this sports shirt and prim white button-up. Moreover, speaking of days away, I'm also days away from celebrating my blog's first year anniversary. Too many outfit ideas now, especially because I have just scored a lot of tailored pants at a thrift store. Hope you guys will enjoy the weekend ahead, because I will surely enjoy mine.
