Always a sucker for vintage pieces.
I guess summer has found a way to end itself for me. It didn't end at the beach though, but still happy to be attending to school meetings for school related stuff. Never in my life did I envision myself with such responsibility but I guess it's time to step it up and be the leader they think I am. Well I am not really the one with the highest rank in the hierarchy, just that one position always stereotyped with a "good penmanship". Might I just share, this is the outfit I wore to the first meeting we had.
Always been fascinated with folk dressing, when I think of it Ulyana Sergeenko and the Valentino SS14 collection always comes to mind. Ulyana has just the right flare to pull off such trend and without a doubt it is so couture on her. I know you're kind of thinking as to why I'm blabbering with this trend when I'm nowhere near "folk dressing" with this look. The thing is, my top kind of resembles that of a folk's. The length of the sleeves, the print, and the color, maybe just 30 percent it is a fit for folk dressing. You see? you do need the right pieces to pull off the trend and if it's not obvious I clearly don't have the right pieces to achieve the folk dressing trend. Nevertheless, my love for this trend will always be here and I'll find a time (soon) to have just even one look on this blog that is pure folk dressing. With all that said, I just went for this metallic pants for the bottom because it is the only pants closest to the color of the top and I still wanted to have that folk vibe. (This used to be gold pants, I don't know what happened now! Anyway!) I know gold is metallic but when I look at this look it reminds me of earthly colors somehow and also I went for a black pair of creepers to balance the whole palette.
