Equal mix of grunge and vintage.
Personal style is one of those things that is uncommon in people. I do think one has distinct and different style from the other. I tend to ask myself a question often raised to people in fashion, "What is your style?". What is my style? I'd normally answer vintage, and granny and anything of the 80's or 90's, that I always impose. Truthfully, that's not how things have been growing and knowing my style the past years. (I really thought about the perfect definition of my style) I think I've come up with the perfect answer to my question (lol!). If asked, I'd definitely say I'm more of "on the edgier side of vintage and the playful side of grunge." A perfect balance for my sartorial taste to say the least.
As you could see I don't have a vast array of clothes and so I tend to repeat if not most of them all of them. If you have been following me you would know I have worn this jersey top twice already, thus making this the third time on this blog (if not click here and here). But the thing is, the three has completely different vibes and not one that's alike. In this look I tried to mix both styles I love: grunge and vintage, to divert from the looks the previous two has. As what was mentioned earlier about my style definition I think this one hits the bull's-eye. I just love how good the mix of completely opposite style looks and I think it is just the right balance. Also, I love how in contrast the two colors are.
This top can now be in my "How to wear in different ways" category *wink*, haha.
