Duckied

Feeling all vintage.
After watching the movie Pretty in Pink and falling in love with all the character's way of dressing, decided to channel one of the character's style. Talking about the one with the "volcanic ensemble", Duckie Dale, I just love how on point his style is- on point vintage. Can't really say much, but love is what my mouth utters every time I hear Duckie Dale (or Pretty in Pink).
Bless these photos for after these were taken I was toasted and now some parts of my body are red as a berry. Quite frankly I regret not going with my instinct on wearing an oversized blazer with this look, just thought it didn't go along with my outfit. I should have not thought about how it looked, I should have went for protection under the heat.

Anyway here I am channeling another Duckie Dale look, this one actually is the second look that I pegged the character. Will be posting the first one soon. Since "comfort" is the top of the list whenever I do fun shoot with friends, decided to go for this dungaree, so that it wouldn't get in my way when I have to sit on the ground (I was actually thinking on dying this one black and cutting it shorter). Anyway wore a tropical vintage top underneath because as what I've been saying I was channeling Duckie Dale and as far as the movie goes he had some "printed" moments. Maybe this is not too Duckie Dale but a little inspiration helped get the vibe in. And because this is my blog and me pegging a character I injected my way of dressing by overlaying the tropical printed top to a collared top. With all those said, this is my version of a Duckie Dale look, you might probably see a lot of Duckie referenced outfits here. What I love most about wearing this kind of outfit is that it's a mixture of both styles I love- vintage and preppy, hearts all over.
